vacuum tank
December 18, 2006
i have build me my own, small vacuum tank :) nothing spectacular but essential to get better moulds and castings. i’ve cut me a strong, cylindric container witch is transparent and hermetric closed. next i fited a top cover where is the intake access for the pump. now i can finnaly force (nearly) all the air bubbles out of the silikon & cast resin! jipee less silly bubbles!!! blub, blub, blub…back off! :)

- in process – evil devil sculpting
August 31, 2006
…sorry for so long no posting, i’ve got some new clay and now i’m totally addicted to my modelling works and forgot to show you what’s upcomming. here are some teasers of the evil demon i’m carving (i spend my last nights on him ;). he’s only rough cutted and i try to find the final form for his mouth…i’ll post an update with teeth and more detailed textures soon…
- in process – more 360 degree arrows for xbox faceplates
August 9, 2006
still in progress, but i think the rough-cut is done…i have to carve the middle part structur more evenly to get the attention on the flow arround the power button. maybe i will lighten the arrows above a bit, they point in every direction and disturb the main flow too much.
this stencil background from the theme “movement” was my inspiration for this kind of faceplate style. i have sprayed it on canvas a few years ago for one of my portfolio’s.
- in process – carving on 360° arrow style faceplate
August 7, 2006
early in the morning…it’s time to post here the some pic’s of my xbox 360 degree arrow style. i still have to go closer to the power button with more arrows and find a way to smooth out on the upper part…but first i have to get some sleep now :)
- retro – NES pad turn into a MAC optical mouse
August 1, 2006
ok…call me a nerd, but here is the real reason why i have bough a NES :) i didn’t want the whole chest, but the seller wouldn’t give me only the controllers, so i had to take the console too. today i have sacrifice one of the four pads to make me my own NES-mouse and i’m quite successful with my oldschool mouse.
a few days ago i made a bloody thing to carry out tests and see what’s possible with casting molds. i’ve tried different prototype shapings and mouldings. see here the some images of my prototype. i have to say i was quite surprised with the result (srry about the bad picture quality, they are only cellphone fotos). my bloodstain looks nice on nearly every surface. in fact, i have first concepted the blood splatter for the xbox 360 front, but now it turn’s out as a thing for plain surfaces like my powerbook ;-).
the “bloody splatter” is limited to 200 pieces – now ready for shipping -> READ MORE

July 15, 2006
my workflow thread for them, who interested in the process of such a molten stone 360 faceplate. i think it’s ok to keep my expirience for me alone, but it’s much more exiting to share it with you and get feedbacks from you :)
